E-invoicing over Peppol

Government bodies, healthcare institutions and large companies ask for an e-invoice in UBL format over the Peppol network. Katsjing sends those from the same screen where you create your regular invoices. The invoice lands straight in your customer's system without anyone retyping it, which cuts errors and measurably speeds up payment.

An e-invoice with every business invoice
When you send an invoice to another business, Katsjing automatically creates an e-invoice alongside it in the Dutch UBL format (NLCIUS). It goes with your email as a second attachment, next to the PDF, and you can download it too. An invoice to a private individual doesn't get an e-invoice, because they have no use for it.
Checked before it goes out the door
Before an e-invoice is sent, Katsjing checks it against the European standard EN 16931, the Dutch NLCIUS profile and the Peppol rules. If something is wrong, such as your customer's missing VAT number, you see it straight away, instead of the invoice being sent back weeks later by your client's accounts department.
Sending and receiving over Peppol
If your customer has a Peppol address, you record it on their contact card and the e-invoice goes over the Peppol network straight into their bookkeeping. Without a Peppol address it simply goes along as an attachment. On the paid plans you can also receive e-invoices: they land in your purchase inbox and are read exactly, without using any AI credit.

- Do I need to set anything up for e-invoices?
- Not for the UBL attachment: it comes along automatically with every invoice to a business. For Peppol you record your customer's Peppol address on their contact card.
- Can I receive e-invoices too?
- Yes, on the ZZP and Onderneming plans. Received e-invoices go to your purchase inbox and are read exactly, without costing AI credit.
- Is an e-invoice mandatory?
- More and more clients ask for one, such as government bodies and large organisations, and in Europe an obligation is being introduced step by step. With Katsjing you don't have to do anything extra for it.
Included in every paid plan
There is no basic version with half a feature list: every feature above is included in both paid plans. What differs is how much of it you use: the number of sales invoices per month, users, trade names and automatically read receipts. ZZP is for sole traders; Onderneming has room everywhere and lets you switch off the Katsjing mention on your invoices. You can also start for free, with a monthly limit on the number of invoices.
